Snowblind is a fictional character in the Marvel Comics universe, making his debut appearance in Ghost Rider vol. 2 #13.

Fictional character biography

Snowblind is an underworld drug lord who has been blind since birth. He is a businessman, heading his own narcotics distribution organization, and sometimes works as an assassin. Snowblind has discovered that he has the power to see by generating a mystical field. However, using the same field, Snowblind can blind anyone in his vicinity (high level demons and sorcerers can protect themselves from Snowblind's blinding power). The field also increases Snowblind's physical abilities giving him enhanced toughness, speed, and strength, on par with Ghost Rider who has been shown to be able to lift five tons.

Snowblind has worked for Deathwatch and fought Ghost Rider (Danny Ketch).[1] Snowblind was later defeated by Ghost Rider, and shot by police Lieutenant Michael Badalino.[2] While held in a Manhattan hospital under police guard, he was confronted by Ghost Rider, and revealed to him that Deathwatch was not human.[3] Snowblind was then captured by Deathwatch, and Hag and Troll, who killed him in an explosion.[4]

Snowblind has been remade as an undead villain by Anton Hellgate. Snowblind retains his blinding power but with somewhat greater range and precision. Snowblind has undead qualities including a lack of aging, enhanced toughness, and not needing air or sustenance. He has become resistant to most injuries and diseases, the telepathic powers of Darklove, and certain passive magics, but not to focused mystic attacks like Blackheart's or the Penance Stare of Ghost Rider. Although undead, Snowblind can be "killed" by strong magics, or if his head is removed or his body is destroyed.

Snowblind is currently working for Blackheart.

Powers and abilities

Snowblind can generate a mystical "white field" of light in which only he can see, but normal human beings cannot. Snowblind is blind except within his "white field." Ghost Rider can see within this field unless Snowblind turned part of it back upon himself. Snowblind has enhanced strength, endurance, and reflexes within this field of light.
